Drepung Monastery

It is located 5km’s range to the western suburban place of Lhasa at the base Mt. Ganpoi Uze. Drepung Monastery was established in 1416 by Jamyang Choje, a disciple of Tsongkapa, the creator of Gelugpa Sect. The monastery, using an place of 250,000 rectangle meters with a set variety of 7,700 priests, is the biggest monastery in Tibet.
