Monasteries in Shigatse will be Served with Highway
A venture is designed at helping the living level of Buddhists in monasteries and showing comfort for visitors was released in Shigatse this year. The venture targeted at making thousands of monasteries in Shigatse be provided with well programmed road was released on July Twenty-first, 2012.
This venture includes a complete investment of 0.161 billion dollars RMB and will build road to 120 monasteries in various sizes in Shigatse Prefecture. The complete duration of the preparing roadways gets to 260.46 miles. The appropriate division said that they are preparing to finish this venture before Oct 30 2012. This venture involved 18 areas and 72 areas and areas in Shigatse Prefecture.
In 2013, Shigatse Prefecture will start the development of the roadways to 109 monasteries. The appropriate division is preparing to get 0.173 billion dollars RMB and the preparing road venture loves a complete duration of 577.2 miles. All these preparing roadways will be put into function in the end of 2013.
It is revealed that there are 341 monasteries and spiritual sites in Shigatse Prefecture. Most of them are located at the distant great hills, canyons and coves. 229 monasteries of them are not provided by roadways yet. Some people are concerned that the development of the roadways to the monasteries might eliminate the ecosystem and breach the regional persons traditions. Actually, the plan and development of the roadways to the monasteries will fully regard the regional persons traditions and connect significance on the surroundings protection.
